Water Quality Parameter Measuring, Storing and Online Monitoring System

Real-time monitoring of water quality is an important tool for analyzing the pollution level in water bodies. It can help researchers to determine human impacts on an ecosystem. Continuous effluent quality data of industries are also essential for environmental regulatory bodies to identify unethical industries. Due to the exorbitant price of the water monitoring systems currently available in the market, real-time monitoring of water bodies could not be implemented at a wide range in Bangladesh. Moreover, such solutions are not available locally, which imposes additional costs such as higher cost for calibration and maintenance. In this project, a multimeter with data logging capabilities is developed to measure pH, Electrical Conductivity (EC), temperature, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Dissolved Oxygen (DO) and Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP). The integrated GPS module provides spatial data. The device uploads data to a server by using a Wi-Fi or cellular connection for remote access of data and online monitoring purposes. A web-based dashboard enables real-time monitoring of water bodies, industrial processes or research works.
